This Journal serves as a repository of all Honor Flag Runs. The intent is to provide a means to maintain a permanent record so to memorialize the honorable service rendered by veterans, hometown heroes and patriots.
There are generally two posts for each Honor Flag Run:
1) Announcement of the event before the run begins; this post provides a description of the honoree and their service to our country. For sponsored runs, the sponsor is named as a “Crew” member who supported the honor flag event.
2) Provides a summary of the experience, photos and recaps the honoree’s service
Both posts are intended to promote conversation and invite participation to encourage the service member or surviving family members.
